5 Premier League Games To Watch This Weekend

One day to go for more exciting Premier League action. This weekend we will get to be entertained by Matchday 5 games. As it stands, Manchester City is currently in pole position to successfully defend their champions status again. However, some banger games are coming up in the league this weekend. All teams are going for the 3 points early on as the fight for the title, European places, and safety has begun. The 5 Premier League games to watch this weekend are as follows;

5) Liverpool VS Bournemouth

Liverpool started the season with a perfect 3 wins out of 3 games but were left stunned by Nottingham Forest last weekend. The defeat leaves them 3 points leaders Manchester City in fourth.

However, they would be looking to bounce back in the league after beating Milan in their Champions League game.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, lost out to the “Pride of London,” Chelsea, last time out. Though they had so many chances to score including a penalty missed by new signing, Evanilson, they couldn’t get anything from the game.

They would of course give the Merseysiders some trouble this weekend.

4) Tottenham Hotspurs VS Brentford

Spurs have only gotten 4 points from their first 4 games in the Premier League this season. After losing the North London Derby last time out, they beat Coventry in the Carabao Cup during the week – a massive boost. Well, this is another London Derby for them.

Their opponents, Brentford have started well and have only lost to powerhouses Liverpool and Manchester City. Sadly, the injury to highflying forward, Yoane Wissa has put a stain on their good start. But the game would surely live up to the billing and be a good watch.

3) Crystal Palace VS Manchester United

For the past 2 seasons, this game has been one of the most anticipated games by fans. There are always abundant goals, skills, and cards in this fixture. The last time they met Palace walloped United 4-0 at Selhurst Park.

This season both have not started well but this game comes at the right time for both to kickstart their season. They both won their Carabao Cup fixtures during the week, setting up this clash for an absolute cracker this weekend.

2) West Ham United VS Chelsea

This game kickstarts the Premier League action this weekend. Of course, this game is another hot London Derby going down in Matchday 5. Chelsea scrapped a 1-0 win away from home last week and would be looking to build on that.

Well, the Hammers have not had a good start to the season as they have only taken 4 points from 4 games. “What other game than a London derby to begin our rise?” They’ll certainly be telling each other that as they look to make a statement.

An early kick-off game and surely a top game to watch. It goes down at the London Stadium.

1) Manchester City VS Arsenal

The last time these two heavyweights met they played out a barren draw. During the week, they also played out 0-0 draws in their respective matches against Italian teams. Hope it’s not what I’m thinking though.

Of course, it should be a very high-quality game with great finishers, great dribblers, great defenders, and great goalkeepers. Arsenal didn’t lose to City last season and would be hoping to continue the trend.

On the other hand, the Cityzens would be going out for the kill as they want to keep an early wide distance at the top of the table. Of course, the main battle everyone wants to see is Haaland VS Saliba. You wouldn’t want to miss such a great battle of talents.
