In 2010, Moyes and Mancini had a bust-up as Everton led Man City by 2-0. Tensions were so high – Mancini barged into Moyes as he wanted to get the ball back for a throw-in.

Both coaches were shown red cards and later shook hands when they found out they would be in the same elevator that would take them back to the dressing room.

Mancini said after the game: “I only wanted to get the ball because we had another five minutes at the end. I was frustrated. The referee sent me off but I don’t think there is anything more in it. It’s nothing, finished.”

4) Klopp VS Lampard

During the 2019/20 season, Liverpool took on Chelsea at Anfield on the day the Reds were to be crowned Premier League champions. The two managers busted into high emotions as an argument began between them.

Naby Keita was adjudged to have been fouled by Willian and Frank was having none of it with his fellow competitor.

Chelsea were in a tough position as they needed to get something from the game to be in pole position to qualify for the Champions League. Both coaches settled afterward.

3) Klopp VS Arteta

This happened in the 2021/22 season at Anfield. Liverpool winger, Sadio Mane had fouled several times on the pitch without getting a book from the referee. Mikel Arteta was so angry with what was going on.

He got into a heated argument with the Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp. The two coaches were at it until the rift was cleared.

The scores were 0-0 before the clash, moments after the clash, Liverpool scored. Guess who scored? Sadio Mane. Mikel Arteta had woken up Anfield powers.

2) Tuchel VS Conte

The coaches confronted each other in 2022 following a frantic 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Spurs at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham got a late equalizer in a game that saw so many controversies at play.

Both coaches went for a routine handshake at the full-time whistle. Tuchel didn’t want to let go of Conte’s hands after shaking him. This sparked a reaction from the Spurs boss who squared up to the Blues coach.

Tuchel said after the match: “There’s nothing to regret. We did not fist fight, we just had a little longer handshake and before that, we had some arguments.”

However, Conte refused to comment on what happened. This is what he said in his post-match interview: “I don’t want to talk about the situation. If there is a problem, it’s between me and Thomas.”

1) Mourinho VS Wenger

Of course, a movie series can be made out of these coaches as they were constantly riling up each other. The top draw incident came in 2014.

Before the incident, the pair had criticized each other over the years. In 2006, the Chelsea boss branded Wenger as a “voyeur” for his comments about Chelsea.

In 2008, Wenger retaliated and called Mourinho someone who was “out of order, disconnected with reality, and disrespectful”.

Finally, in 2014, the tension escalated over after Chelsea had defeated the Gunners 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. Wenger stepped into the Chelsea technical area and pushed Mourinho after the pair shouted at each other. The Managers didn’t shake hands at full-time, unsurprisingly.
