As we eagerly countdown to the commencement of the 2024/25 English Premier League (EPL) season, let us take a moment to consider league players who have paid their dues and become forces to reckon with in the English Premier League. Who should we bet our funds and keenly gaze on to dazzle through the season? Here are the top 10 players we will bet on to stand out this season. These players have been picked based on:

  • Performance and Impact on their Club in the 2023–24 season
  • Promising Players
  • The Eye Test
  1. Phil Foden

Phil Foden

Foden’s performance last season, according to RadioTimes, was described as scary, especially because he is nowhere near the peak of his powers. Where is the lie?

Having had a phenomenal season, won the 2023/24 Football Writers’ Association and the Premier League Player of the Year awards, been named Manchester City’s Player of the Season 2023/24, and made a tremendous contribution to City’s league clinch for yet another season, Phil Foden has to be the top player on the list.

The 24-year-old can be said to be peaking nicely in his career; he is very promising, and he should be one exceptional player to look out for this 24/25 season.

  1. Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne

Of course, we have another city player on the list! They have proved to us time and again that they are not here to joke; hence, we cannot afford to overlook their consistency and players who have been very instrumental to their victories, one of whom is Kevin De Bruyne

Despite being injured for half of the 2023–24 season, his return without any doubt dragged his club across the line in yet another league-season victory.

Many sources say he is well at the peak of his career, and we only hope that he does not have an injury setback this season, so he gets the entire season to shine like the star that he is. We are looking out for you, Champ!

  1. Declan Rice

Declan Rice

The 25-year-old featured in all 38 games across the season as the Gunners came so close to lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time in 20 years last season.

We expect to see such momentum, drive, and hunger from them as the season commences with their Player of the Year 2023/24 season charging the squad from the midfield.

Declan Rice is one player who has proven that the money spent on him has been worth it. With an impressive 2023–24 season, there is no doubt that he is about to tune the heat up and become a roaring success come August 2024.

  1. Bukayo Saka

Bukayo SakaStill young and very promising, the 22-year-old has dazzled since he got a firm place after he graduated from the youth team. Having a Saka on the pitch is as good as getting a goal or two behind the opponent’s net.

Despite all of the on-and-off-the-pitch struggles Bukayo has faced, he still somehow finds a way to shine through it all—a rising star, indeed! Saka’s productivity has been predicted to go up another level in the 2024–25 season. Watch out! #winks

We hope that his astounding performance will lead Arsenal football club to lift the league title they so much desire this season.

  1. Mohamed Salah

Mohamed SalahLiverpool’s player of the 2023–24 season, Mo Salah, as he is popularly called by fans, has won this award for the fourth time since he joined the club in the 2017–18 season. His consistency and productivity for the team have earned him the trust and love of both fans and managers.

This season marks his final season with the club, according to the 3-year deal he signed in 2022. Mo Salah is a delight to watch, and we earnestly look forward to watching him on the field this season, with the question on everyone’s mind: would he bow out at the end of the season or would he renew his contract?  Whatever the case, we do not doubt that, as always, he will give us a brilliant game this season!

  1. Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer

The latest beloved of every Chelsea fan, Cole Palmer, has gone on to become the joy of the club.

The 22-year-old brought so much joy and hope to the hearts of many fans in the just-concluded 2023–24 season. With the entrance of a new coach and the remarkable skills of Cole Plamer, everyone (yes, fans and critics alike) earnestly looks forward to the wonder that is Cole Plamer and the beauty he will bring to our screens this season. He is such a delight to watch.

8. Kobbie Mainoo

Kobbie MainooUpon his performance at the 2023/24 preseason, Manchester United fans were excited and anticipated this sensational player’s display throughout the season. Unfortunately, the 19-year-old picked up an injury early on that ruled him out of the early stages of the campaign. However, he is back, and his remarkable performance at various league games last season, including the FA Cup final and EURO 2024, has everyone anticipating his performance this season.

  1. Harvey Elliott

Harvey ElliottAlthough he has not been getting start-up opportunities, Elliott is one midfielder who has the potential to light up Anfield for the next decade. He is a brilliant player and possesses an incredible natural ability to read the game

With Arne Slot on board, one would wonder if there is a more promising future for the 21-year-old because he is a player we would love to see on our screens this season.

  1. Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro GarnachoHaving learned from both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Garncho has sealed his place in the hearts of Manchester United fans. While he may still be struggling to get a first-team shirt and start up at games, there is no doubt that he has produced some spectacular moments in the early stages of his career.

We certainly look forward to seeing the breath of fresh air he brings to the pitch this season.
